~ The Pearly Diner ~

On June 22nd 2010, as part of EAT! NewcastleGateshead, The Pearly Diner (a restaurant like no other) popped up for 5 nights at a secret location in Gateshead.

The Diner was unusual in many ways but most of all because there was no menu, diners could have anything at all they wanted, anything.

The ultimate meal, the last supper, the definitive dinner. Dress code was monochrome, to match the dining room. This website records the diners and the dinners that were part of this extraordinary experiment.

The Pearly Chefs were Terry Laybourne and Chris, Glen, Robbie, Helen and Clare of 21 Hospitality with Bob Arora and Chand Singh Khasa of Sachins.

The Pearly Waiters were Simon Preston with Muriel Vanel, Anthony Penrith and Charlie Foley.

The Pearly interior was created by Imogen Cloet.
